I just can't get over this flower. This is also the first year that the passionvine has been blooming pretty non-stop. I've found countless Gulf Fritillary caterpillars on this plant (it's a host plant), so that's also awesome.

I also love this vine. I haven't planted it yet at this house but need to. How long ago did you plant it.
Oh yes, I've killed that before. Good for you to have lots of blooms to enjoy! I'm new to reading your blog and very much enjoy your writing style and observations. I remembered today your rule #13 having read it just last week; while I was lazily hand-watering the tops of my plants- I thought "Don't just stand there!" Thank you- such no-nonsense direct advice gets through to me. Cyndi
Laura - let's see...I bought it years ago at one of the Zilkerfests and then had it for two years in an area by the house (where it didn't get much sun). I then transplanted it over to the spot where it's at now, which it apparently likes much better. I think this is the third year in this spot... It did bloom last year, but not very prolifically.

Cyndi - thanks - I'll have to come up with some new rules. My sister said she liked them and that's why I started doing them.
