Onion Harvest

My harvest of the Onions for this year (there are a few still out in the garden, but not many).  I also have harvested all of the Lorz Italian garlic and the ginger.  About half of the ginger has been replanted in order to get more ginger for next year.

Oh, you got so many! When did you plant the onions and did you plant onion sets? I have lots of onions growing too and it's so hard to wait until harvest time.

PS I'm going to plant some garlic in November. Was your garlic from 2011? How is the flavor? So many questions!

Nice harvest! I hope to have an onion/garlic bed next time around, and this is inspiring.

I don't quite remember when I planted the onions...Dec or Jan probably. Yes I did one set (2.99 at red barn I think).. yes the garlic I planted was from my harvest last year(and I planted in Oct or so). I haven't used any of the garlic yet, but the onions taste like onions (the garlic definitely tastes different, but you have to try the types all by themselves-it is tough for me to tell the difference once they are in foods other than salad dressing).

Good looking onion harvest. Sadly many of onions did not bulb. Not sure what's up with that, but I'm glad to see yours look nice and round like onions should.

What a haul! It must be so satisfying to have them to cook with.
