Shrimp plant. This plant managed to make it through the previous freezes no problem - really it seemed like the wind is what did it in.On the other hand, the garlic, onions, and broccoli look fairly unaffected. The rock rose and artemisia don't seem to even have known there was some seriously cold weather (for Austin).
My favorite part about having snowfall of less than an inch is how it melts once the sun hits it. Of course, my kitchen thermometer also tried to tell me it was 117 degrees out...I'm pretty sure that it's broken, though.

Pretty impressive that your Rock Rose came through so well. Mine look blasted, though I have no doubt they will return in spring.
The blackened Shrimp Plant in my garden surprised me, too - never grew it before and had been impressed with how tough it was.
I forgot to look at the Rock Rose.
Everything but my garlic, some violets, and one sad wormwood stalk choked. I think today's blast will finish them off.
Glad to hear you have some hearty survivors...my garden looks like sad right now!
