OMFG! It finally...what's the word again? oh right! RAINED! down here last night/this morning. I am amazingly excited about this.
I did not, however have any time to go out and check to see how much rain we got. but the point is. we got rain.
Also. I went over to Annie's (at the Transplantable Rose) house to pick up some rain lilies. She also was very generous and gave me a loquat seedling. :)

Great blog! I'm hoping we get a tad more rain tonight.
Hooray!!! Whenever we are in a drought my favorite sound is rain at night with our windows open. Ahh, so satisfying. I hope we don't have to wait another 3 months.
It was fun to meet you, Katina.
That wind was something else tonight, wasn't it? Heard there was hail in other parts of Austin. We got a little over half an inch... hope you were lucky too.

Annie,
Yes, we were--I don't now how much we got, but it sure did pour for a while here. Not enough to fill the 'pond' in the back yard, though...which pretty means that the ground was so dry it did the whole sponge thing again. :::thuuupp::
I checked this morning on the rain scenario. We had about 2" from the Monday morning rain and the Tuesday evening rain.
Thanks, Katina.
Total here since Monday AM is 1.7". And every drop was welcome.

I'm dizzy at getting so much rain in the past week. Rain drunk...is that an accepted gardening term>
BTW, you asked about seminars on container gardening...
container gardening will not be a part of either of those seminars, but we do plan to have a seminar in April on container gardening, so keep an eye out. All the particulars have not been worked out yet.
