Round two for the cantaloupe and watermelon. I don't hold out much hope. Though I do highly recommend the little peat pots. Mostly because they cut down on the whole disturbing the root system thing AND you can put seedlings in the ground instead of seeds...which seem to get eaten alive out here.

Watermelon Cantaloupe, Round 2
Round two for the cantaloupe and watermelon. I don't hold out much hope. Though I do highly recommend the little peat pots. Mostly because they cut down on the whole disturbing the root system thing AND you can put seedlings in the ground instead of seeds...which seem to get eaten alive out here.

My cantaloupes never even got up and got growing before they were dead. I gave a friend some Ambrosia seeds and he threw them down by his air conditioner and they grew so big he had to cut them off the air conditioner with a weed eater. He has been bringing me cantaloupes all summer. Ugh, life is not fair.
