Baby Mexican Feather Grass
My feather grass did send out little babies (who knew? I mean I know Mexican Feather Grass is a rampant self sower, but mine hadn't ever set seed before).
This must be the year of baby Mexican feather grass! I have literally hundreds that I need to give away or pull up. One particular place must make them happy, because the group is uncountable. I've never had this many baby feather grasses before.
I have baby Mexican Feathergrass coming up for the first time, too. Maybe this is the year for it. I was thinking I wouldn't mind having a 'forest' of it...this could be the start. Have a great weekend.
Feather grass is such a great plant. I think I started with 1 and now I have them all over the yard from transplanted seedlings. I guess it's good that I like it some much, since it is pretty prolific once it gets going.
That's what I always thought! When is it going to seed? Then, it found its happy spots. That grass is great, but like a cat, it wants just the right spot and no other! And like wildflowers, the dormant seeds responded to the recent rain. I just moved a baby too.

I never knew that it self seeded. It's such a cute little baby tuft of grass!
