What is the cluster in the foreground of the picture? It looks like some sort of flower cluster, but I didn't realize the pistache bloomed like that. Just curious.
Yep, that's a pistache thingy-ma-bob. The tree first buds out with these, then it gets leaves. So I figure this is it's sexing thing. Whatever. It makes a mess, and I have yet to clean them up. But you should see how I freak out when one falls on me. I keep thinking it's a bird crapping until I actually pull it out of my hair.
That is a very tactile picture (if that makes sense). I want to touch it.
