I live outsi...I'm actually commenting on your tip. I live outside Dripping Springs and grew tomatoes for the first time here last year. One end of my tomato row got shade from about 3:00 on. Those tomatoes were the most productive over the summer. Some were sweet 100s and I think one was a Cherokee Purple. I grew them in Earth Boxes. This year I'm growing all my tomatoes where they get shade starting at 3-4P. They are in 15-20 gallon pots or earth boxes and get watered every day.
